Open Mouth, Insert Foot

Ha, I swear when I complain, God overwhelms me with the blessings in my life! Like, "See your life is PERFECT!" And it truly is!

The past few days have been just beautiful here in Tennessee. Tomorrow is going to be the best of all! We've played outside for hours, taken walks, we slid down the slide (which mommy's hiney doesn't fit in very well anymore!) And we played on our swing set! We ran around with the dogs until we all passed out for naps! I just LOVE being outside!!

Last night I went out to eat at my favorite resturant, Fuji's, with Michelle. We had a GREAT time catching up (we only get together once a month or so) and eating some great sushi (fried for me!) and habatchi grill, yum! Michelle brought some old pictures of High School/Early College. Wow, we looked like babies! We've only been out of high school for....7 years...but we looked like babies!! Those were such fun days!!

Hubby left yesterday for his week long Dallas trip. I've kept myself busy so I don't miss him as much. But night-times are lonley! I'm counting down the days, hours, minutes (ok not really) until he comes home!! When I got my new Blackberry Storm last month, he wouldn't let me take his picture, so it would show up when he called. So I took a picture of his hiney! He has on PJ pants, so it's not a vulgar picture! But when he calls both of the girls recognize his hiney and they get excited! Tonight was no exception, although the excitement was times ten! They miss their daddy! And the picture cracks me up! Hubby has a great hiney!

I realized last week that I only have 17 weeks until baby Katy arrives. So I'm really trying to get stuff ready for her! I found an amazing double stroller on Craigslist, and I'm going to grab it on Tuesday, if it's in good condition of course! I found the boobie pump I wanted on sale last night so I grabbed it! Thanks Kennye for the GREAT recommendation! My other one died, and I'm determined to give this baby boobie milk for longer than 3 months!! It was super expensive. Shew, but it's such a cool "toy". I dunno, can you call a boobie pump a "toy" SURE! I've got to get her room put all together. I have so many clothes to hang up......Maybe I'll get some of that done this week. Ah, I dunno. I just don't want to wait until the last minute to get stuff ready, like I did with Maddy and Izzy. I just can't do that this time!!

I'll leave you with an amazing picture I captured today while the girls were playing. It truly captures the beauty of God's love and grace! I'm just amazed by how beautiful it is! It sums up my new mood and outlook!

A Vent Post

I'm probably in a bad mood today because I have a cold. I haven't slept well in three nights because I can't breathe!! I'm hopeful to get it all cleared up within a day!! The blessing is that we are all over the tummy bug! Hubby woke up Tuesday morning with it, but went to work anyway. He was over it in a couple of hours and we've been puke free for....3 days now yeah!!!!!

Well hubby has been working his bottom off. He's been doing his job, plus some. He's been working such long hours...plus he has class on Thursday evenings. So we haven't spent more than a couple of hours a week with him in over a month. He usually gets home after the kids go to bed, so I've seen him a lot more than they have. I feel awful for them. Well tomorrow he's leaving for a full week....he'll be back next Saturday. He has a managers conference to go to. And instead of flying back on Thursday, he's driving back with his brother and mutual friend....so he'll be back Saturday. And to beat all, they are taking our car....which hubby didn't tell me about until YESTERDAY!! Hubby's letting his brother and their friend drive our car all the way to Texas (hubby has to fly down) and then they are all driving back.......sigh.....

I'm upset. Hubby knows it to. I'm upset that he's taking off the extra time. First, because he would have been gone long enough anyway. Second, because my kids haven't seen their dad in like a month, and Third, I'm so dang tired of playing "single mommy". And the the straw that is breaking the camels back is that he didn't tell me they were taking our car! It's not that I don't trust my brother-in-law and their friend....it's just I didn't know....like hubby was trying to hide it from me.....I just don't like that.....

So this next week I really have to make sure that I'm staying positive and calm. We've all been sick so we all have short fuses. Maddy was so sassy yesterday that the guy that came to service our heater even noticed....I was so embarrassed. I have to make sure that I keep the house together.....it's going to be a very difficult week. But I know we can do it!!

Mama's never get a break.....

On a side note, I realized today that we only have about 17 weeks left until we meet baby Katy!! I can't believe it's that short of a time!! One of my baby updates said I should be putting on about a pound a week (yikes, not sure about that) and I was in shock that it's already time for that to be happening......didn't I just get pregnant?? I'm so excited to meet her though!!

I have to run. Maddy, once again, woke Izzy up an hour early. So Izzy is acting like a maniac....

Midwife Appointment

Well we had a midwife appointment today! All is well!

Katy's heart beat was around 145. Once again, Jeanne had to push her gently to one side so her tiny butt would sit still long enough for Jeanne to get a good heartbeat! Katy is just as stubborn and active as my other daughters haha! I can't believe I'm 22 weeks pregnant and I'm dying to see what my little girl looks like!!!! What does her voice sound like? Will she have Maddy's, Izzy's and Justin's toes?

My blood pressure was low again. Actually it was lower than last time. Today's reading was 90/60. Jeanne said I was fine since I wasn't on the verge of passing out. But to make sure I took it easy when going from sitting to standing. I wonder what causes low blood pressure. I don't restrict my diet any. I just don't crave sweets, actually can't tolerate sweets much. And most salty food tastes too salty. We usually eat pretty healthy. We don't heat white bread, or pasta, it's all whole grain. And we love veggies and fruits. And we don't like cokes and don't keep them in the house. I don't know why my blood pressure keeps on being so low. But I feel ok......at least the blessing is that we won't have to worry about it being too high!!

I have been feeling really well. My back hurts on occasion. And Katy likes to kick my cervix, which doesn't feel particularly wonderful!! Over the past week I've noticed I've been more weepy than normal. Last night Justin accidentally laid on my hair and pulled it. It was a total accident, but I cried! And today I was watching Everybody Loves Raymond, and Ray was taking his oldest, Allie, to a father daughter dance and had a flashback of when she was born....oh I was a mess!! But other than that, I'm doing really really well!!

I've only put on 10 lbs this pregnancy. My appetite is just now starting to pick up. I had a snack of goldfish crackers about an hour ago, and I'm starving right now! But I'm sort of at that stage where I'll eat half of my meal and then be so full, and then a couple of hours later I'll eat the rest of the meal. Oh and I've gotten some heartburn! According to Ole' Wives Tales, if you have heartburn, then you'll have a baby born with hair!! I'm holding out hope that Katy has enough for bows! I desperately want to put bows in my tiny baby's hair!!

Oh what else. Oh, I jinxed myself on my last post! Izzy had the tummy bug Monday night/Tuesday morning. Well I had it on Friday, Justin even had to come home early because I felt so awful!! And then Saturday Night/Sunday morning Maddy had it! I have been scrubbing my house like a maniac trying to get this germ out of my home!! And hopefully I've gotten it out!!

Now we are just dealing with runny noses. But that is totally manageable! I'll take snot over throw-up any day of the week!!

Justin has been working a lot. I've been playing single mommy for a while now. Justin's had to work over the past two weekends. And then Saturday, he's leaving to gout of town for a week. It's been difficult. I've never gone so long without him here, or without his support. It's been hard for the girls to only see him a couple of hours a week. It's been hard on mommy too. I'm anxious for this conference he's going to to be over, and for our lives to go back to some sort of normalcy!

Well I really am starving now, I'm going to go start some dinner!! Pasta night, yeah!!
