Well Katy is 1 month old, Bizarre I know! But she's a happy healthy baby! Her next appointment is August 28th!

We closed on the house in Bell Buckle today! So until the 21st of August we are homeless, haha yeah!!

The car is still in the shop. It's going to be about $8,000 to fix it. Thank GOD for car insurance haha! We just have to pay our deductible! The girls all got new car seats, of course. But Maddy doesn't like hers. It's a booster, but it's just black. So I let her pick out some pretty blue fabric and I'm going to cover it for her.

We are all doing GREAT!! Just a quick update for ya!

The Scariest Day of My Life

Was today about 1:30 this afternoon.

Katy had her audiologist appointment and the girls and I were on our way to it. I had pulled up the directions on my Google Map Application on my phone. I looked down at my phone for a moment to see where my turn was and rear-ended the guy in front of me. He had to stop suddenly because the car in front of him stopped suddenly. The girls are fine, the guy I hit was fine, and I'm fine. I'm sore as all get out though and my air bag deployed. My car has some pretty funky damage to the front. But the guy I hit only had minor damage and he was ok. And I got a ticket for Following Improperly (which is a blessing because the cop could have sighted me for reckless driving, but since I have a clean record and I was so visably shaken, I think he had pitty on me, plus he fell in love with Maddy, those blue eyes I'm telling ya).

So we are all ok. But geeze, what was I doing looking down at my phone with all three of my babies in the car??? Thank God I wasn't speeding! We could have really been hurt, I could have really hurt them!! Gosh my nerves are shot, and Justin's nerves are shot (he was on a conference call and all I could do was send him a message saying we had been in a wreck). So we are home, no doctor visits, just mellow time!!

But please DON'T play with your phone while driving!!!!!!!!! I'm so thankful God was looking over my sweet babies today, and that we are all ok....gosh I'm so thankful!

Post Partum Check-up

Marilyn and Jeanne came to check on Katy and I. We are doing splendidly!! Katy is as healthy as a horse, or course! And I'm doing ok. My blood pressure was a little low 100/70. And I've been having some issues with it. But Jeanne knows that I'm aware of it being low and that I'm taking care of myself. So we are confident that it'll work itself out!! I just have to remember that breastfeeding takes a lot out of me so I have to make sure I'm snacking and taking in plenty of fluids and resting, resting, resting!!!!!

Marilyn wanted a copy of my blog that I wrote about Katheryn's birth! I thought that was so cool!! Having a double VBAC doesn't happen every day! Even though it should!!

And I'm pleased to announce that we have found a house! We are under contract and close on the 21st of August! I'm so flippin' excited I just can't stand it!! It's perfect, move in ready, no paint or anything! Perfect neighborhood, perfect price! And the home is GORGEOUS!!!! Sigh...so excited!!!!!! I'll post pictures soon, I'm taking the girls to see it on Thursday!!

Katy's Follow Up Check-Up

Well Katy is growing GREAT! Today, at 10 days old she weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs 1 oz (She was 8lbs 6oz at birth)!! Yes, mama is making some good milk haha!! We've had the easiest time breast feeding. I never had such an easy time before, so it's been such a great experience!! I'm so thankful!!

BUT, Katy's left ear still didn't pass the hearing test. The right ear did again, but the left ear still failed. So, we've been referred to the audiologist. They'll call me and tell me when to come in for that appointment. Dr. Humphrey isn't worried though. He thinks there might just be some extra wax and/or some fluid from birth still in her ear. She responds really well to noise. She'll turn her head and look at Maddy and Izzy. And she'll follow mine and Justin's voices. SO, although we don't think there is a problem, we are still a little worried and can't wait for this appointment to be over with!!

Well my chunky monkey needs to eat again!! Will update soon!!

Katy's First Peditrician Visit

Katy had her first appointment today! At birth she was 8lbs 6oz and today she was 8lbs 5.4oz. She was 20 1/2 inches long at birth and today she was 21 3/4 inches long. Her head circumference was 13 1/2 inches at birth and today it was 13 3/4 inches!! So she's already growing!! And she hasn't lost hardly any weight!!

She got her Hepatitis B shot and they did the newborn screening (foot prick). She also had her hearing test done. She passed her right ear, but she kept failing her left ear. It's probably just because that ear had wax in it or some excess fluid from birth. So we are so not concerned about her hearing. But we will go back on Thursday to recheck it. If it still fails then we'll be referred to the ear doctor for a hearing test. Dr. Humphrey said it's very common and that is why we are not concerned.

She looked very healthy overall. But boy, she hated to be messed with!! Justin and I both think she cried more today than she did at birth haha!!

We are so very proud of our healthy baby girls!! We are so blessed and so thankful!!
