Music

So, about a year ago, Justin and I decided to only listen to Christian radio with some country. We weren't listening to bad radio to begin with, but we wanted to be especially careful with the kids in the car. We mostly listened to Christian and Country radio anyway, but occasionally we would listen to Pop or Rock. Stuff that was just too mature for the girls.

Well it's been one of the best decisions we ever made! I tell you there is nothing better than having my 3 year old request a Christian song. Her favorite song right now is, "God of Wonders Beyond our Galaxy, You are Holy, Holy!" I don't know the actual title or who sings it, but she loves the boy/ girl version. I get to sing the verse above and Maddy sings, "The Universe Declares your Majesty. You are Holy, Holy!" When it comes on she'll say, "Remember Mommy you sing Galaxy and I'll sing Majesty" It's awesome! She knows the words to most of the songs that come on 94.1 F.M.

Maddy has a true passon for music. Yes she's only 3 1/2. But she lives for music. She sings and dances just about every moment of every day. She clames she's going to be Hannah Montana when she grows up. And that's fine with me as long as that is God's plan!! She has a beautiful voice and can actually harmonize with the "real" singers very well for a 3 1/2 year old. She dances very well too. My children were not born with much poise or grace! Maddy's had a year of dance and Iz will start in the fall. And Maddy has grown more this year than I've seen before! She's too beautiful!!! On the inside and out!!

And the radio is good for me too. It's always positive and uplifting. I can turn on the radios all throughout the house and we will sing and dance and get our chores done. It puts me in a great mood, and it never fails, I hear a song I really need to hear. Maybe to remind me of how blessed I am, or how I can always turn to God.

I've been meaning to blog about it for a while now but I kept forgetting.

OK I need to do some "stuff"

FINALLY!!

Glitterfy.com - Glitter Graphics

That's right my sister in law is having a GIRL!!!!!! WE are beyond thrilled!!! Just beyond thrilled!!

And here are some pictures of craft projects I've done but haven't uploaded pictures.

Here are the bulletin boards in my classroom:
"Big and Small God Created Them All"

This one is updated. I'm going to take down the Veggie Tales Characters and put up special art from the class. And the right side now says "Happy Birthday" in the center and has my kids birthday's written on the little people charachters.
And this one now has Calendar in big yellow letters on the top. And dates on the calendar. And to the bottom right on the wall I made a growth chart that looks like a Giraffe. I don't have pics of it but it's beyond cute!
I think that is all I have for now!!

WHEW!!!

Who knew a child could bleed so much in one day and NOT need a trip to the ER!!! My goodness. It's only 5:15 and I'm exhausted!!

This morning I go to the bathroom after the girls ate their breakfast. (I know, what was I thinking going to pee). I come back, what 10 seconds later, and Izzy had cut her thumb. I have one of those razors that has the shaving lotion built into the razor and you just replace the razor top when it gets dull. Well I haven't been able to find a replacement head in like days! I could have sworn I had a new pack, but I wasn't able to locate a single one! OK back to Izzy. She cut her thumb with the razor head!!!! How in the world did she find one when I can't find them?!?!?!

So I put a Barbie band-aid on it. She pulls it off. I put two on, she pulls them off. Now at this point there is blood everywhere. She doesn't care, she's touching everything!! She thinks it's super cool that she's getting this stuff everywhere! So I take her into my bathroom and wrap her thumb in gauze and wrap the gauze in bandage tape, and I wrap it around her whole hand! She can't get it off, but she looks like she's been abused. Poor baby!

Ok, house cleaned up, I'm starting to do my chores again (it's been like an hour and a half of trying to get the thumb under control). I make the girls lunch. We play, then it's nap time. I swear they are in their room for 25 minutes when I hear, "Mom! Izzy's Mouth is Bleeding!"

I go running (I literally leaped the couch!) into their room. And sure enough it was! But it wasn't bleeding bad. Maddy said Izzy was just drinking her sippie cup and her mouth started bleeding. I don't know how that happened. Maybe she bit her tongue somehow? Who knows. So I check her out. And an hour and a half later, she's good, and finally asleep.

This has been an all day struggle. I'm exhausted and I haven't done a thing. And please don't think of me as an abusive mother, or an unclean mother. My home is very clean. Maybe not so organized but very clean. So I don't have sharp objects like razor's laying around everywhere! I'm still trying to figure out how the dickens got that razor head.

Well Maddy has agreed to help me clean up so we can go take a bike ride. I'm so thankful for my kids haha! If this is a sign of Izzy's.......how should I say it.....dare-devil-ness......not being scared of blood, to wipe it everywhere, to play with things that hurt......I'm in for it....geez!!

Oh, I redid my myspace page in the 25 minutes the girls were in there room. It looks GREAT! Check it out :)
